Yang Style 24-Posture Tai Chi Form: First Road - $39

Tai Chi training is about calming the mind and releasing tension. From this state, slow, gentle movements can be coordinated through the entire body. A pre-determined series of these flowing movements is called a “form.”

This course is to learn the first section or "road" of our 24-posture form, one posture at a time. The movements in this form are easy to pick up and most are repeated several times.

This is the absolute easiest way to get started with a tai chi practice!

Learning a form is a great way to begin and build a tai chi practice, but for most people leaning an entire form can be daunting. To remedy that, we’re offering this low-overhead online video guide so you can learn only the first section, or “road”, of our Tai Chi 24 posture form in the privacy and comfort of your own home.

Each video we’ll be focusing on ONLY 1 posture. If you’ve never seen the form, or are new to tai chi, this will be simplest introduction you can get. You’ll be able to easily memorize the movements and, more importantly, fully grasp the small but crucial details that would be lost when trying to learn too many movements.

Yang Style 64-Posture Tai Chi Form: First Road - $49

Learn the first section or "road" of our Yang style 64-posture form, one posture at a time, in this 10-video series filmed on a mango grove in South Florida. This form is more intricate and energetically sophisticated than the 24 form and is recommended for people with some experience with tai chi.

This is the form we practice in our classes, so it makes sense to use this course as complementary home training.

It's recommended that you work through the course at one video per week. After completing this course, you’ll be ready to confidently practice your movements at home, in a park, or along with our classes. With time, the form will become like an old friend that you can rely on as a place of ease, comfort, and a gateway into the present moment. This is the baseline for developing the health and energetic benefits of a tai chi practice.

Tai Chi - Grasp the Sparrow's Tail - $75

Grasp the Sparrow's Tail is a sequence of postures that you see repeated multiple times in Tai Chi forms. While it's only four simple postures, it's repeated because of its importance. In fact, the four postures are considered the main "energies" or methods of tai chi. Learn the basics of each method and how to create them in your body quieting the mind and going inside.

These intermediate videos are entire classes including loosening exercises and standing meditation to prepare you for each of the specific energies.

The series contains:

Intro - teaches the basic movements of all four of the postures

Ward Off (peng) - and outward, opening energy like a shield

Roll-back (liu) - energy pulling back and by you

Press (ji) - both hands press together to create two forces manifesting as one

Push Down (an) - think of pressing a beach ball down under the water
