Having very little prior knowledge of tai chi, I wasn’t sure how it would fit into our corporate wellness program.  “How can slow-motion martial arts help us be healthier, happier, higher-performing workers?”  But an employee at our company who had taken classes at New Orleans Shaolin-Do assured us we should bring Sam in to teach us.  We couldn’t be happier that we did.  Of all the corporate wellness events we have held, our tai chi session with Sam is by far my favorite.  We have learned that tai chi is not just martial arts.  It’s a very accessible way for anyone to relax a tense body while at work, to improve sitting posture, and to free up energy to prevent burnout after a long day.  Sam’s tai chi sessions can be done anywhere; we hold ours in a regular office room.  As an interesting way to learn new skills that actually improve our work lives, Tai chi with Sam is the perfect wellness activity for us.
